5 TELPAUGI TUMŠĀM TELPĀM

5 DARK ROOMS

5 plants suitable for dark spaces

1. Spear boxes (Sansevieria, also called Snake Plant)

Pike boxes have long ceased to be "grandmother" plants and are now available with leaves of various shapes and colors. From dark cylindrical to metallic colored leaves. Pitcher boxes should be allowed to dry out between waterings and can even be placed in a shaded area.

2. Zamioculcas (Zamioculcas, also called ZZ plant)

Fenugreek is a very undemanding plant and will perfectly complement any interior. There are even black varieties available. The pots should also allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings and can be safely placed even in shady areas.

3. Spathiphyllum (Spathiphyllum, also called Peace Lily)
Spathiphyllums are an undemanding plant that will be perfect for a beginner planter. They should be watered relatively often when 1/3 of the pot is dry, it can be observed very well by the leaves of the plant, when the leaves of the plant start to bend down, it is time to water it. If you want the plant to bloom, you can place it in indirect sunlight, but if you place it in the shade, the plant will probably not bloom. Since Spathiphyllums do not have pretty flowers, they can be safely placed in a darker place.

4. Golden syndapsis (Epipremnum Aurea, also called Pothos Golden)

Golden syndapsis is a relatively fast-growing plant. Perfect if you want to quickly fill the room with green mass. Quite popular in offices, because it is easy to care for and does not require excessive care. Water this plant when 1/2 the pot is dry. The golden scindapsi will have a more pronounced leaf color if you place it in indirect sunlight, but you can also place it in a darker place.

5. Blessing of the house (Aspidistra or also called Cast Iron Plant)

Home blessings are now starting to regain their popularity. It is a very easy-care plant that tolerates almost everything. This plant can also be safely grown in cool rooms as long as the temperature stays above 0 degrees. The soil should be allowed to dry 1/3 between waterings. House blessings can be safely placed in dark places, but if you place it in indirect sunlight, you can even wait for it to bloom.

‼️‼️Remember no plant can grow in complete darkness. A shady place means that the plant has sunlight, but it is, for example, in a room on the 1st floor where there is not much sunlight or at the end of the room farthest from the window.
